POOL PUMP TROUBLE SHOOTING
 
Check Lid for Cracks
Check This O Oring
Motor does not run, does not hum, or make any
noise when turned on.
Check if there is power to motor line terminals
using voltmeter or test light... If no, check
electric supply circuit and/or timer.  If yes, repair
or replace motor

Motor Runs, pump does not pump water
Check lid for cracks, check input pipe connections, check lid oring, check strainer
basket gasket, check valves and connections
on suction side, check pump impeller & seal
Install vacuum gauge, if gauge reading is very
high 18-25, suspect a clogged input line, If
gauge reading is low or Zero suspect leak in
input line, fittings,valve or pump seal.

Pump Runs ---Low Pressure
Check basket for debris
Impeller may be clogged---Clean or Replace
Clogged input line--Blow out with Drain King
Filter may be dirty or bad -
IMPORTANT-SOMETIMES THE FILTER
CARTRIDGE LOOKS LIKE NEW & WILL STILL BE CLOGGED-
REMOVE FILTER & RUN WITHOUT CARTRIDGE & SEE IF PRESSURE
IMPROVES

Leak at Basket or Input line or Valves

Motor Hums -- Pump does not run
Seized Bearings or Impeller
Bad Capacitor or Windings
Remove motor & take to shop or call
for at home service
CAUTION: HIGH VOLTAGE
240 VOLTS!!!!
